Abstract: Dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) is by now an established method to enhance the sensitivity of solid-state NMR spectroscopy. The current experimental design however makes it difficult to attain both optimal sensitivity and optimal resolution. Pulsed dynamic nuclear polarization could remedy this. Combined with the latest advances in solid-state NMR methodology, it would allow the structures of more challenging chemical systems and rarer species to be explored.
